If you’ve been following the teasers put out by DJI Innovations recently, you’ll know the release of the DJI Inspire 1 was a big deal.

The Inspire 1 now sits comfortable between the Phantom 2 range and the much more expensive S1000 system at just £2380 with a singular controller and £2749 with a 2nd controller to operate the Camera/Gimbal by another operator.

Spec levels of the DJI Inspire 1 are pretty impressive for a relatively small quadcopter and DJI has added their own 4k camera capable of recording at 30 frames per second.

Other great features of the DJI Inspire 1 are as follows:-

Motorised Carbon Fibre Arms which tilt upwards once airbourne so as not to obstruct the cameras view.

Auto take off and landing via the new comprehensive mobile/tablet App.

Vision Positioning System which allows control over height even when no GPS is available indoors using Optical Flow Technology.

Live HD view using an improved version of the Lightbridge system which is included in the price of your new DJI Inspire 1.

A claimed 18 minutes flying time.

Dynamic home point automatically refreshes the GPS home position of the Inspire 1 when you’re on the move.
